Collectively, the Certificate in English Language Proficiency series is composed (5) stand-alone programmes which purport to build up the non-native English speaking students' level of competency and confidence in the English language in a gradual, scaffolded and structured way so that they can live and study effectively in an English speaking environment.
Generally, the aims are:
1. To develop the skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening
2. To enable students to use grammar correctly
3. To enable students to examine language and form the proper association among linguistic components
The total course duration of each level is 3 months for tutor-led teaching and learning activity.
The students will be assigned projects, individual and group assignments which they will attend to during the independent study period outside of the class hours. The programmes will focus on the four skill set - reading, writing, listening and speaking and will cover grammar, vocabulary and everyday English. Classrooms are highly conducive, with experienced teachers inducing elements of fun during lessons in and out of the classrooms.
